Smartphone SmackDown: HTC, LG, And Others Bring their Best to Battle Apple and Samsung The smartphone market is still a battle of two titans. Apple and Samsung have spent the last several months battling for the title of America's number one smartphone maker, with comScore recently reporting that the giants combine for more than half of the country's smartphone market share.
However, LG, BlackBerry, HTC, Huawei, ZTE and others want to turn this one-on-one into a battle royale, winner take all. They've brought out promising flagship devices for battle with many of them shipping in the coming weeks and months.
And even though the mobile market moves at breakneck speed (Motorola, Nokia, and even Apple and Samsung are poised to release new "latest-and-greatest" handsets in the summer), those in the market for a new device have plenty from which to choose.
