What are the Best Tablets?

It used to be the Apple iPad... the best tablet, that is. In fact, it wasn't just the best tablet, but the only tablet worth buying. The Apple iPad had the best tablet user interface and operating system, best build, and the best apps. Google and its partners tried and tried in 2011 to unseat the iPad for its lofty perch, but failed, with a buggy operating system (remember Android Honeycomb?) and overpriced and bulky hardware (remember the Motorola Xoom?).

How things have changed since then. Google and its partners, along with Microsoft, have hit the tablet market hard, releasing excellent hardware that rivals the iPad on the spec sheet, and beats it handily on the price chart. And perhaps most importantly, the iPad no longer has a monopoly on the best apps.

So what's the best tablet? The expert at TechnologyGuide and TabletPCReview run down the list of the five best overall devices currently available. Curious as to which device tops the list?
