Google Hangouts

Forget Skype, Now it is Time to Hangout with Google

Even before Google rolled all its communication and chat services into one Hangout app and service, Google Hangouts was by far the best choice for video conferencing. It was, and still is, both free and more robust than some of the more popular video chat services, like Skype and Facetime.

In addition to offering free one-on-one video chat, Google Hangout users can group chat with up to 10 friends, watch YouTube videos together, share screens and collaborate via Google Drive, and also broadcast "Live on Air" through Google+ pages and YouTube accounts.

Obviously, there are use cases for individuals looking to stay connected, budding artists, students, and businesses. So perhaps it's time to stop "Skyping" and instead start "Hanging out."
