Holy CSI! LG Mystery Tablet Surfaces at CES 2013. Welcome to CES 2013 Day Two! There is no doubt the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is all about new products and technologies. The aisles are crammed with the latest in desktops, notebooks, smartphones and all manners of 'smart' devices. However, this year's event also included a dash of drama and mystery over at the LG Electronics booth where an unannounced new device was floating amid the smartphones and other products on display.
LG staffers were apparently using the unannounced and unknown Windows 8 tablet to pull up smartphone specs for attendees, and luckily this caught the eye of one of our intrepid reporters. Talk of smartphones immediately took a back seat as our reporter did some digging and found out this was indeed an unnannounced LG tablet that will eventually be released in the U.S. - although LG did not go into any exact details or plans for the release.
Obviously, this is big news since LG is a major Korean manufacturer that has not had a new tablet entry since the introduction of the G-Slate in 2011. The LG person using it referred to it as a 'tab book', which made sense since the device seemed to be hinged and might have an attached keyboard.
The LG person didn't reveal much more, but we did manage to get a few additional details and yes, photographs of the mystery device for TabletPCReview before it disappeared into the CES crowds.
Everyone loves a mystery and sneek peeks of a new device, so be sure to do some digging of your own and uncover more information on TabletPCReview.
