This rugged little device weighs about a half pound and is tough enough to take on the rigors of an executive briefcase or student backpack with ease.
Western Digital designers definitely took an industrial approach with this latest addition to the family, creating a black version that is is made from matte black plastics and accessorized with glossy black accent dots. This is a terrific improvemnet over the older all-glossy plastic Passports, since the new look resists scratches and retains that out-of-the-box look a lot longer.
Data stored on the WD 2TB is password-protected, so all of your information is safe and secure. Writing to the portable disk and accessing your data is a snap since the device performs at blazing speeds, according to CrystalDiskMark benchmark tests performed by NotebookReview editors.
