Eurocom Monster 1.0

Eurocom Monster 1.0 Review: Is Bigger Better?

In the gaming world, size doesn't always matter. Take, for example, the aptly-named Eurocom Monster. This little beasty has an 11.6-inch screen, an Intel Core i7-3720QM quad-core processor and Nvidia GT 650M graphics card - but still keeps its weight under while staying under 4 pounds. It is also a very solid little system, that appears to be ready to take the bumps and bruises of hardcore gaming, or at least a bumpy road trip.

While other systems may be a little hot under the collar as the hardware races to keep pace with gaming software, the Monster manages to keep its cool. It's also surprisingly quiet - which helps when you are concentrating on the gaming action on the massive screen.

Bigger may not be necessarily better, but the Eurocom Monster does still have a few demons hiding in its closet that may be a problem for some gamers.

Find out more about this very powerful and durable little gaming notebook as NotebookReview tackles the Monster in our comprehensive review.

Dell XPS 13 Review: A Business-Minded Ultrabook that Packs a Punch

No doubt that trend-setting fruit-flavored lightweight notebook that defined the Ultrabook category will be hard to beat. However, the Dell XPS 13 may come closest to the core as a reasonable alternative. The system may not be perfect, but it does offer some very cool features like a Gorilla Glass screen, carbon fiber to keep the notebook cool, and exceptional performance with great battery life.

While this system leads the pack, though, it does have some failings that could provide an edge for future competition. Read our review to find out more!
