Sony Thinks Thin and Sets New Standards with Tablet S Looking for an innovative and dependable tablet system that stands out from the pack in terms of its performance, style and ergonomic design? Then look no further than the Sony Tablet S: a sleek alternative that packs a lot of features into a compact package and raises the bar for other devices to follow!
The Sony Tablet S has a slim profile that somewhat resembles a folded magazine and a sparkling 9.4-inch display with a 1280 x 800 resolution and a density of about 160 pixels per inch (which is slightly higher than the leading competitor and most other Android devices with larger screens). The result is streaming video that literally pops right off the screen!
The Sony Tablet S is equipped with Android's Honeycomb operating system and a NVIDIA Tegra dual-core processor. It has 1GB of random access memory, up to 32GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, both front- and rear-facing cameras, microUSB 2.0 and full-size SD card slots.
This limber lightweight weighs in at one pound, five ounces, which means you can pick it up and pack it along anywhere. Its slim design takes up a minimum of space, although its features pack a wallop in terms of on-the-spot productivity.
The Tablet S also ships with Sony Entertainment Network apps, including Video Unlimited (for movie rentals and purchases), Music Unlimited (a mix between Pandora and Spotify), and the PS Store, which offers a dozen or so PS One titles for download. Media Remote also transforms the Sony Tablet S into an extension of a Sony home theater, allowing it to work in sync with your smart TV.
In the words of our TabletPCReview editors, the Sony Tablet S "provides a fine example for other Android tablet makers to follow." » Read the Sony Tablet S Review Related links » Sony Tablet P is AT&T Bound, Coming Next Week » Sony Tablet S and P Hands-On: Innovative Powerhouses » Sony Reader Touch Edition Review » PlayStation Store Now Available for Sony Tablet S | | |
