It was once a gigantic event, bustling with life; one of the most important places to show off new technology from around the world. Since tech became a part of nearly everyone's life and combined itself with consumer electronics, 'smart' gadgets and the at-home entertainment market, CeBIT has positioned itself below the likes of shows like CES, Computex and the Mobile World Congress.
This year, the show was held in Hannover, Germany. Rather than showcasing the newest tablets, smartphones, TVs and notebooks, CeBIT focused on hardware, graphics cards, ultrabooks, and motherboards, cloud services, and service providers.

| CeBIT - Ultrabooks Everywhere CeBIT is still one of the biggest global trade shows for new technology. It's divided into two parts - one for business users, dominated by cloud computing and services; the other dedicated to end-customers, where specific devices can be seen and tested. This year, these consumer segments of CeBIT were dominated by ultrabooks.
