Apple Updates MacBook Air with Intel Sandy Bridge

Just nine months after the last refresh of the MacBook Air, Apple has come out with a new edition of its lightweight notebooks - this time featuring Intel's second-generation Intel Sandy Bridge processors, backlit keyboards and a Thunderbolt port. The system also features Apple's new OS X Lion, the fast and feature-packed upgrade to its operating system platform.

Asus U31SD

Good Buy or Not Good Buy: The Asus U31SD Review and Question

The ASUS U31SD is not a bad value for the $799 pricetag. Its strengths include an excellent 11-hour battery life, cool and quiet operation, and good performance for everyday tasks. Another highlight is the included two-year warranty, which includes one year of accidental damage protection. As our review notes, however, the system offers an uninspiring keyboard and touchpad, questionable build quality, and a barebones selection of input/output ports.
