Welcome to the all new PCWorld!

Dear Reader,

Recently we dramatically changed the way we publish things at PCWorld and Macworld, and launched a new site called TechHive. We hope you've noticed — and that you like the changes.

We've devoted our lives to writing about technology, not only PCs and Macs but phones, tablets, mobile apps, e-readers, streaming video players, digital cameras, websites, and whatever the next big product category will be. We do it because we love it. We love playing with the latest tech inventions and we love sharing those experiences with you.

Macworld and PCWorld — both of which received major website upgrades — do a great job serving their respective audiences, thoroughly covering the Apple and PC/Windows ecosystems, and will continue to do so.

Under new editor Jon Phillips, PCWorld is going to refocus on coverage of PCs, Windows, business, and the whole Microsoft ecosystem. We believe there will be no better place to read about what's happening in the PC world than PCWorld.

Dan Miller, longtime editor at Macworld, continues to lead the best team in the business at covering Apple and the Apple ecosystem, from Mac to iPhone to iPad to iPod, including apps and accessories.

Our new site, TechHive, is all about technologies that don't fit as neatly into the Mac and PC worlds. Here we'll cover smartphones and tablets, digital photography, the web and social media, gadgets and games, and digital entertainment services from Spotify to Netflix. TechHive is about how all sorts of different technology fits into our lives.

All three of our new sites are running on a brand-new design created in conjunction with the smart people at Mule Design, and they share a new custom content-management system that lets us easily link relevant stories among all our sites.

Part of a major undertaking like this is that there will undoubtedly be a few bugs along the way! If you spot any on PCWorld.com, please send a note to webmaster@pcworld.com.

We hope you continue to enjoy the great technology news, reviews, and how-tos that PCWorld, Macworld, and now TechHive provide. Thank you for being a reader.

Jason Snell, Editorial Director
