No matter how you dress them up, the bulk of today's MMOs offer relatively similar gameplay. Many also have very similar worlds: dwarves, dragons, elves, magic. We take a look at games which offer something that's unique, interesting, or odd. They cover a wide range of playstyles and tastes; "different" isn't a genre, and it's unlikely any reader will find all of them equally appealing. Most are free to play; all are free to try.
